Refund Policy

Introduction

At Cheapflightsair, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy is designed to provide clarity on how cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled. Please note that as an Online Travel Agency (OTA), we are bound by the strict policies of the airlines we partner with.

24-Hour Free Cancellation

For many bookings, Cheapflightsair offers a 24-hour cancellation window from the time of booking, allowing you to cancel for a full refund without penalty. This applies only if the booking was made at least 7 days prior to the departure date. After this 24-hour grace period, standard airline rules apply.

Voluntary Cancellations (By the Customer)

If you wish to cancel your flight:

• Non-Refundable Tickets: Most cheap flight tickets (especially Economy Saver or Basic Economy) are non-refundable. In some cases, the airline may offer a future travel credit, minus a cancellation fee.
• Refundable Tickets: If you purchased a fully refundable fare, you are entitled to a refund.
• Cheapflightsair Service Fee: In addition to airline penalties, Cheapflightsair may charge a processing fee for handling cancellation requests.

Involuntary Cancellations (By the Airline)

• You are generally entitled to a full refund to the original form of payment or a rebooking on an alternative flight.
• We will advocate on your behalf to process these refunds, but the timeline is subject to the airline’s processing speed.

Refund Processing Time

Refund requests are processed in the order they are received.

• Once we receive your request, we submit it to the airline.
• Airline approval can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks depending on the carrier and volume of requests.
• Once approved by the airline, the money will be refunded to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Flight Changes

If you need to change your travel dates or destination:

• Change Fees: Airlines typically charge a change fee per passenger, plus any difference in airfare.
• Policy Constraints: Some tickets do not allow changes at all. Please check your specific fare rules before booking.

Compassionate Cancellations

In cases of medical emergencies or bereavement, some airlines may waive cancellation fees upon provision of valid documentation (e.g., doctor’s note, death certificate). This is entirely at the discretion of the airline, and Cheapflightsair cannot guarantee a waiver.
